Due to the
popularity of this tour we will be running it from May to September. The tour runs from Saturday to Thursday and we strive
to accommodate everyone.
This 5 day tour of Donegal is one of
our most popular. Our guides will show you some of the most beautiful scenic mountains and unspoilt beeches in Ireland not
to mention the quaint little towns and villages and fishing ports.
For 5
days you will be riding on quiet mountain roads taking in all the beauty that the country has to offer. At night the pubs
of Donegal come alive with traditional Irish music and the craic.
On
the trip we will be visiting old castles, museums and monuments as well as sampling the traditional cuisine of the area. We
will make an overnight stop in Killybegs; the largest fishing port in Europe and we will be able to sample the catch of the
day. We will also visit Slieve League which is home to the highest sea cliffs in Europe. We will also drive along the beautiful
and world famous Atlantic drive which has some of the most stunning scenery on the continent.
Donegal weather is at best described as temperamental. There is a famous Irish saying that "if
you dont like the weather wait an hour."
As
a result the guide may have to switch routes to suit conditions. We will spend each night in at least a 3 star hotel or guest
house and every morning you will wake up to a full Irish breakfast.
